On Thursday 17th January, a delegation from Transition Helston & District spoke at Helston Town Council, asking the council to declare a climate emergency. The council was unable to vote on this because it wasn’t on their agenda. However, John Martin, Helston Mayor, said that he wanted to discuss this with us further, once they know the outcome of Cornwall Council’s vote next week. We will be discussing our way forward and our role as a group in supporting the Council at our next meeting on Monday 21st January 6-8pm. Please come along if you can.
