Breaking Ground at Weeth!

On Saturday 23rd June, Transition Helston & District Food Group had our first gardening session in the Weeth community garden project at National Trust Penrose.

The aim of the garden is for people to get together, meet new people, grow plants and learn new skills.

We cleared an area to use as a plant nursery. We are collecting and growing edible plants that we can then use to create edible landscapes throughout Helston. We will also be creating an edible forest garden on site.

If you would like to meet new people, learn about sustainable gardening and help establish an amazing garden, you are welcome to join us on 21st July at our next gardening session.
